Racked and ready! Just bottled up some “cold-brew” dandelion wine. Unfortunately I’ve never used an airlock and didn’t add water to it so I’ve lost a ton of liquid from both jugs 😭 lesson learned I suppose. I’m anxious to try this wine, or what’s left of it, next year! After a three-week initial ferment, I’ll filter out the dandelion petals and re-rack for another eight week fermentation before bottling.
It took a long time to separate the petals from the green parts of the dandelion flowers. Any guesses as to what I’m making?
It’s really hard for me to not eat the whole loaf in one setting. Honestly I need to purchase a second Dutch oven so I can easily make two loaves at once.
